This year, Native Edge Landscape was one of the presenting sponsors of the annual Equality Texas “Heat Wave” Pool Party. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to display our work since the party actually took place in one of our clients yards. But just to make the fundraising party extra special… we added a few flourishes to put it “over the top.”
We had an amazing selection of plants to play with! The goal was to add a welcoming water feature to the front yard for the guest to enjoy as they got signed in.
The unlevel area we are building the water featue on is making things difficult.
But we were very happy with the end result!
In the pool deck area (where the party was to be held) there is a wall going along the back of the pool directly opposite the deck. Knowing that this would be the focal point, we wanted to focus on dressing this up the most. This proved difficult as one side of the wall was only 6 inches for the pool, while the other side had a 12 foot drop!
We added two rustic clay planters, and filled them with plants that encompassed the “Heat Wave” theme. Lots of reds and yellows! 🙂 They looked great contrasting the bright blue Austin, TX sky!
And of course… a few extra flourishes. 🙂
All in all the party was a huge success. We were honored to be able to take part of this event for a cause we feel so strongly about.
